I am a Straight Mahogany Sprout Chashaku Tea Ladle. I sprout right up. No frills, I'll give it to you straight.
Curator's Notes
This chashaku, or tea ladle, is used to retrieve matcha tea powder or loose leaf tea in a tea canister. It is part of a one-of-a-kind handcrafted collection. Each one is uniquely shaped, and emphasizes the natural qualities of the branch the handle is carved from. The most minute brass rivets, that hold the textured wood handle and head together, appear delicate but are crafted to ensure durability. They make for the most beautiful combination of colors and materials that will enhance the colors of the matcha tea powder that it scoops.
